Full Moon in Scorpio
April 26, 2021 | Full Moon | 7° Scorpio | 7:31 PM PST, 11:31 PM EST
Full Moons always invite us to release what is no longer serving us and help us to do so by illuminating things of our life that we can let go of. The full moon lights up our path to shedding what we no longer need and growing into the next stage of our highest and best self.
You can tap into the energies of the full moons any time after they are exact (the time when the Moon is exactly opposite the Sun), usually up to around 3-4 days after for the most potent energy, but even up to a week afterward.
What Moon Is This?
The Scorpio Full Moon is called both the Pink Moon and the Buddha Moon, and this particular one is also a Super Moon! It’s known as the Pink Moon because of all the beautiful pink blooms popping up in the Northern Hemisphere, continuing to usher in warmer weather and new life. It’s known as the Buddha Moon because it is said this is the Full Moon Buddha was born on and enlightened on, and brings us the opportunity for our own enlightenment.
What Cycles Does It Tie Into?
Looking at the 2.5-year lunar cycles, this Full Moon will tie into whatever was going on for you at the end of October 2019, end of July of last year, and the story of this Moon will culminate in January of next year. You can also look at the New Moon intentions you set at the Scorpio New Moon last November and see what is coming to fruition now!
What do these moonbeams mean?
This Full Moon invites you to release what no longer serves you or illuminates something in your life, with a focus on Scorpio themes like exploring your depths, revealing hidden things and secrets, processing deep emotions and healing, intimacy, and shared resources. This is one of the most powerful Full Moons when it comes to releasing and illuminating every year, these are both Full Moon and Scorpio themes. That means you get double the power to actually dig into the deep and hidden stuff and alchemize it through Scorpio’s power of transformation. This lunation is a biggie when it comes to embracing change and letting go of resistance — it’s coming whether we embrace it or not, so isn’t it better to ride the wave instead of being taken down by it?
This 2021 Scorpio Full moon finds itself opposite a stellium (3 or more planets) in Taurus. Any time there is an opposition in a chart, it introduces a level of tension, but also invites you to make a choice. This opposition is between intense and emotional Scorpio and practical and determined Taurus.
Venus is currently in its happy place in Taurus, which means her energy is even more potent, with the Full Moon illuminating her, La Luna may also shine a light on where you may need to work on or release what’s not serving you in relationships, where you may need to transform your values, or revisit your self-worth.
Scorpio also rules the 8th house of other people’s money and resources and Taurus represents your wealth and resources, so this is the ultimate moon to release any financial habits that aren’t doing you any good and make moves on tackling debt or working on investments.
Scorpio’s energies may not come easy to you unless you connect with them in your chart, but the challenge of going through the depths of transformation is rewarded by alchemizing all of those hurts, stresses, and feelings that no longer serve you into enlightenment and awakening.
